Bafana head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira announced a squad without key players on Thursday, ahead of the side’s international friendly against Namibia on Wednesday.

The return of veteran defender Bradley Carnell will probably raise eyebrows, while Bevan Fransman and Bryce Moon also return for another opportunity to impress as the clock winds down.

The Bafana squad of 22 is:

Goalkeepers: Emile Baron (SuperSport United), Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs).

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Fixtures Committee had concluded - from the match reports - that the match continues from the minute it was stopped.

The League has since received a letter of protest from Sundowns who trailed their opponents by two goals (0-2).

PSL CEO, Kjetil Siem confirmed that matter has been referred to SAFA arbitration and will be heard today.

“I cannot make any further comments on this matter until the arbitration hearing is complete,” was all Siem could say at the time.

The match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows will continue from where it was left off and will now be played on Friday, 19 February 2010, at 19h30 at Super Stadium.

“We went by the reports of the match referee and match commissioner who both said that the match was abandoned due to floodlight failure,” said PSL CEO, Kjetil Siem.

“The rules clearly state that if this is the case, the match must be continued within 48 hours of its abandonment or at the CEO’s discretion.”
