In my own words

COULD THE WIN FOR THE AMAKHOSI AGAINST AJAX ON SUNDAY MEAN THAT THINGS ARE SLOWLY TURNING   FOR CHIEFS?

With the 3-0 victory against the urban warriors, the amakhosi should be smiling.Vlad V’s job was on the line if the boys did not produce. After suffering defeats against Ajax in the MTN-8 WAFA WAFA tournament, this was billed as a grudge match for Chiefs against their former mentor, Muhsin Ertugral.

Ertugral seemed to have the better of the Amakhosi in their MTN 8 Wafa Wafa cup. However the Glamour boys had the better of the Urban Warriors with a 3-0 win.

Goals came from Kaizer Motaung Jnr, Thabang Rooi & Nkosinathi Nhleko.Kaizer seems to have shut up the boo boys with this performance with a wonder volley in the 29th minute.Thabang Rooi also had a good game also contributing with a 2nd goal for Chiefs. He seems to be the rock at the back for Amakhosi complimenting well with Thomas Sweswe.Nkosinathi Nhleko did not want to be left out when he received a beautiful pass from 2nd half substitute, Knowledge Musona  thereby sealing the win.Nhleko was giving the Ajax defenders problems throughout the whole game. There were times when he had 3 defenders around him and left them in his dust. I must commend Kaizer Chiefs physio, Elsa Storm who has brought out the best in the burly striker who is looking leaner & meaner.

The Amakhosi faithfull are expecting good things after this dominant performance. From the back, right up to the frontal attack, Vlad V’s men were on point. Everything went well for the boys in the day. Could this be the turning point in them being contenders for the PSL  title?

With the qualifiers this weekend, this will be a time to reflect & look at ways of continuing this fantastic win. If the amakhosi continue the way they played against Ajax, other team’s better watch out for the men in the black & gold.
